Darmstadt-based company among the top 20 in Wirtschaftswoche magazine’s SME ranking

An industry first and fourth highest new entry at number 15: Schenck Process, the worldʼs leading manufacturer of measuring and process technologies based in Darmstadt, currently holds one of the coveted spots among the top 100 in the ranking for “Germany’s best medium-sized” by Wirtschaftswoche magazine and is thus authorized to use the Wirtschaftswoche’s seal of quality.

In determining the top 100 among German medium-sized companies, the weekly magazine calculated the rate of growth of German companies with annual sales between EUR 50 million and EUR 1 billion annually in cooperation with the Munich economics professor Bernd Venohr. Included in the calculation are the factors headcount, sales, and rate of growth.

Entered at number 15

Schenck Process succeeded in making a direct jump to 15th place by a margin of 26 seats to the next competitor in the SME Ranking published at the end of January. The judges awarded the leading position in the measuring and control technology industry with the quality seal “Germany’s best medium-sized company”. President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Andreas Evertz sees the results of the industry leader among the champions of growth as proof of the company’s high resiliency and strategic competence in German SMEs. Corporate values which also distinguished Schenck Process from the competition and justified the high new entry.
“Being where our customers need us and our solutions, requires a high level of flexibility and resolute proactive planning,” explains Andreas Evertz, President and CEO of Schenck Process Groupʼs recipe for success of the company that enjoys a rich tradition. He continues, “This is supported by various business units that are extremely diversified as well as the decision to act ‘local-for-local’ with the help of our global presence through foreign locations.”

Mastering global challenges with modern strategies

The business magazine doesnʼt ignore the CEOʼs heightened awareness in the face of impending loss of stability on the political and economic pinnacled world markets in its presentation of the champions among the medium-sized companies. That new strategies are needed in order to remain successful at the top at the international level, is something Andreas Evertz is also convinced of. Schenck Process reacted to this situation as early as the middle of the previous year by modernizing its global corporate structure. “Global growth has become more unpredictable and something we take into account by making our organizational structures flexible. Only in this way can the business units concentrate entirely on the needs of our customers”, says Andreas Evertz, President and CEO of Schenck Process Group, in describing the organization of the manufacturer of measuring and process technologies.

In all industries worldwide, Schenck Process ensures that processes work or are optimized further. To this end, it develops and manufactures high-tech solutions for weighing, feeding, conveying, screening, automation as well as air filtration technology. A fully automated shipping software LOGiQ in connection with additional components of the iQ series support customers in linking their processes efficiently and cost effectively as well as in monitoring workflows. Services such as engineering and implementation, maintenance, training, and consulting expertise complement the wide range of products.
