    Modular systems deliver flexibility

Schenck Process product range for vacuum-assisted conveyance

The MoveMaster® Vac product range for vacuum-assisted conveyance is tailored to gentle conveyance as is required when handling powders and granular materials such as cereals, legumes and powder/floury materials. MoveMaster® Vac feeding stations and vacuum conveyors cover a large number of applications in the foodstuffs industry, such as:

    • Topping up and feeding loss-in-weight feeders and volumetric feeder systems
    • Feeding and emptying mixers
    • Emptying bulk bags or sacks
    • Unloading silos, day tanks etc.

This equipment will be on show at the Schenck Process stand at AnugaFoodTec 2012, which runs from 27 to 30 March 2012 in Cologne. The weighing and feed specialist will be exhibiting the stainless steel MoveMaster® Vac feeding a ProFlex® F 500 loss-in-weight feeder with polenta at stand F038 in hall 10.1.

The feeding stations have a modular structure and feature a number of options, for example for emptying sacks, bulk bags and octabins via suction lances or container base manifolds. Discharge aids which prompt flow are available as options, to enable even the most complex materials to be conveyed.

The vacuum conveyor technology also features a modular design. The conveyors are supplied with specially matched filter and filter cleaning and can be used as standalone or multiple units. Popular systems are available for vacuum conveyance.

The modular design ensures flexibility and simple accessibility. It is therefore suitable for a wide variety of applications. Every module in the product feeding stations and the vacuum conveyor is attached by quick-connect band clamps for easy maintenance and cleaning.

The conveyors are fitted with steep-walled containers as standard to ensure smooth material discharge. In most cases, no additional discharge aids are required. The full bore discharge flap valves and butterfly discharge valves that enable refilling of loss-in-weight feeders are standard features too. The conveyor system is controlled using a single or programmable control (PLC).

The MoveMaster® Vac product range can be used with applications spanning dilute to dense phase conveying. Its design allows materials to be gently transported with virtually no destruction.

Schenck Process took over Clyde Process Solutions, a leading provider of pneumatic materials handling technology and air filtration technology, at the start of 2011. This move paved the way for the new additions to the product range.
