2. General information on data processing

2.1 Scope of the processing of personal data

We collect and process your personal data only to the extent necessary to provide the website and our services.

2.2 Legal basis for the processing of personal data

You will be informed below under the specific data processing operations on which legal basis the processing is carried out.

2.3 Data erasure and storage duration

Your personal data will be deleted or blocked by us as soon as the purpose of the processing no longer applies. However, data may be stored beyond the original purpose if this is stipulated by national or international regulations to which we are subject. In such a case, the data will be blocked or erased when a storage period specified by said regulations expires, unless there is a need for further storage of the data for the conclusion or fulfilment of a contract.

3. Collection of data when visiting our website

3.3 The collection of data for the provision of the website and the storage of data in log files is absolutely necessary for the operation of the website. You therefore have no option to object.

4. Cookies

In addition to the aforementioned data, cookies are stored on your computer when you use our website. 5. Social Media

5.1 LinkedIn Insight Tag

We use the LinkedIn Insight Tag. The provider of this service is LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company, Wilton Plaza, Wilton Place, Dublin 2, Ireland (hereinafter "LinkedIn"). The LinkedIn Insight tag is a small JavaScript code snippet that we have added to our website.

The LinkedIn Insight tag enables the collection of data about visits to our website, including URL, referrer URL, truncated IP address, device and browser characteristics, timestamps and page views. LinkedIn does not share any personal data with us, but only provides summarised reports on website audience and ad performance. LinkedIn also offers retargeting for website visitors so that we can use this data to display targeted advertising outside our website without identifying the user.

LinkedIn members can control the use of their personal data for advertising purposes in their account settings. To deactivate the Insight tag on our website ("opt-out"), click here.

The LinkedIn Insight Tag is used for the purpose of enabling detailed campaign reports and obtaining information about visitors to our website. As a LinkedIn Marketing Solutions customer, we use the LinkedIn Insight tag to track conversions, retarget our website visitors and gain additional information about the LinkedIn members who view our adverts.

The data is encrypted, anonymised within seven days and the anonymised data is deleted within 90 days.

5.2 Other social media

We do not use any other social network plugins on our website. We only link to our profiles on the following networks: LinkedIn, Xing, Facebook, Kununu and X (formerly Twitter). We do not collect any personal data in this respect. If you want to ensure that no data is stored by these providers in relation to your visit to our website, we recommend that you log out of them.

6.1 General information and third country transfers

We use Google's services in Basic Consent Mode. This means that we do not transmit any personal data to Google or set cookies unless you have given us your consent to do so in accordance with Section 25 (1) sentence 1 TTDSG and Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR. You can revoke your consent at any time.

If you consent to the processing or setting of cookies as part of Google's services, you consent to both us and Google processing your data and setting cookies for the purposes stated here. Further information on the respective Google services can be found in the following paragraphs.

For the USA, the European Commission adopted its adequacy decision on 10 July 2023. Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Privacy Framework. Since Google servers are distributed worldwide and a transfer to third countries (for example to Singapore) cannot be completely ruled out, we have also concluded the EU standard contractual clauses with the provider.

6.2 Google Analytics 4 (website analysis)

We use Google Analytics 4 on our website, a web analysis service from Google that enables us to analyse your use of our website.

By default, Google Analytics sets 4 cookies when you visit the website, which are stored as small text modules on your end device and collect certain information. The scope of this information also includes your IP address, which, however, is shortened by Google by the last digits in order to prevent personal identification.

Google uses the information collected on our behalf to analyse your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity for us and to provide other services relating to website activity and internet usage. The abbreviated IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data. The data collected as part of the use of Google Analytics 4 is stored for a period of two months and then deleted.

6.3 Use of YouTube

We also embed videos from the YouTube on our website. YouTube is operated by Google.

We use YouTube in extended data protection mode. According to YouTube, this mode means that YouTube does not store any information about visitors to this website before they watch the video. However, the transfer of data to YouTube partners is not necessarily excluded by the extended data protection mode. For example, YouTube establishes a connection to the Google DoubleClick network regardless of whether you watch a video.

To counter this risk, we use the so-called "two-click solution". This means that you can only watch a YouTube video when you click on it and thus actively consent to the data transfer described above.

As soon as you start a YouTube video on this website, a connection to the YouTube servers is established. This tells the YouTube server which of our pages you have visited. If you are logged into your YouTube account, you enable YouTube to assign your surfing behaviour directly to your personal profile. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account.

Furthermore, YouTube can store various cookies on your end device after starting a video or use comparable recognition technologies (e.g. device fingerprinting). In this way, YouTube can obtain information about visitors to this website. This information is used, among other things, to record video statistics, improve user-friendliness and prevent fraud attempts.

After the start of a YouTube video, further data processing operations may be triggered over which we have no influence.

The use of YouTube is in the interest of an appealing internet presence. This constitutes a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR. If a corresponding consent has been requested, the processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR and § 25 (1) TTDSG, insofar as the consent includes the storage of cookies or access to information in the user's terminal device (e.g. device fingerprinting) within the meaning of the TTDSG. Consent can be revoked at any time.

7. E-mail contact

7.1 If you contact us by e-mail, the data you provide (your e-mail address, possibly your name and telephone number as well as other information provided by you) will be stored by us in order to answer your enquiry. We delete this data as soon as the purpose for which it was stored no longer applies.

7.2 Data may be stored beyond that time if this has been stipulated by the European or national legislative authority in EU ordinances, laws or other regulations to which the Controller is subject. The data is also blocked or deleted if a storage period prescribed by the regulations mentioned expires.

7.3 The legal basis for the processing of the data is Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR if consent has been given. If the e-mail contact is aimed at the conclusion of a contract, the legal basis for the processing is Art. 6 (1) lit. b GDPR. In all other cases, the legal basis for processing the data is Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR. Our legitimate interest in the processing then lies in responding to your enquiry.
