Sales Application Engineer

Summary:
The Sales Application Engineer must become skilled in determining and recommending the most suitable equipment from Schenck’s broad range of product offerings specifically from the Kemutec line for customers’ requirements, taking into consideration powder characteristics, material handling and installation site conditions. We are looking for a well-versed team player with drive and a “can-do” attitude, capable of communicating promptly and concisely. Another prerequisite includes the adaption of digital platforms such as Quote Configurator, CRM and SharePoint. Previous experience in Material Handling and/or Powder Processing Equipment/Systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

Sales:
o Proactively searching for new business
o Solution selling
o Technical/commercial presentation of proposals
o Order closing
o Servicing Key Account needs
o Travel approx. 30%

Technical:
o Reviews and analyses requests for screening, size reduction and milling equipment
o Knows Powder Processing applications and equipment
o Sizes equipment to comply with customer requirements
o Performs supporting engineering calculations
o Prepares cost estimate and risk assessment for proposal pricing
o Keeps current with technical and Powder Processing industry developments

Software/Apps/IT:
o MS Office Suite
o Web Platforms (TEAMs, SharePoint, etc.)
o CRM Database
o Quote Configurator
o Company SAP/ERP System

QUALIFICATIONS
• B.S. in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
• Min. of 2 years of experience in a Sales Position involving analytical problem solving & solution selling
• Application and operating experience of industrial powder processing equipment
• Possesses excellent oral and written communication skills
