Customer Service Representative

Job Summary This Customer Service Representative (CSR) is responsible for providing excellent customer experience to our customers and collaborating with the Aftermarket Sales, Purchasing, Production Engineering, Operations, Accounting, and Collections to meet corporate goals.

Specific Job Functions Include:

  • Reviewing the purchase orders for accuracy while handling any discrepancies and entering the orders precisely.

  • Providing customer service and administering post-order activities.  These activities include providing the order acknowledgments, expediting purchasing and operations, tracking orders and documentation, resolving invoicing issues, and supporting collections.

  • Ensuring all post-order questions, emergency orders, and customer issues are handled in a timely manner to ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Providing all post-order communication with the Customers while working closely with the Aftermarket Sales Reps, Outside Sales Reps, and internal departments.  

  • Create and process change orders, Return Material Authorizations (RMA’s), and Credit Material Authorizations (CMAs).

Required Education/Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of customer service, sales, or marketing experience in a technical setting.

  • Ability to remain calm under difficult and high-pressure situations.

  • Working knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software like SAP, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, and Microsoft Office products especially Outlook and Word.

  • Excellent written and verbal communications, data entry, and strong interpersonal skills.

  • Professional image with competent phone demeanor and empathic to situations.

  • Must be highly motivated, well-organized, and focused on continuous improvement.

  • Ability to travel domestically approximately 5% of the time.
