Inauguration of new manufacturing facility in India
Stock Redler India Private Limited, part of global market player Schenck Process, expanded its operations by opening a new manufacturing facility in Bengaluru on 12 April 2013. The state-of-the-art facility in Peenya Industrial Area, Bengaluru comprises 70,000 square feet of manufacturing and assembly area and adjoining offices. The facility is equipped with modern precision machines for high quality metal preparation, the associated material handling and testing. With a team of 100 highly skilled and experienced employees, this facility will serve the requirements of the power, steel, cement and chemical industries.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Robert Ciavarella, President of Stock Equipment, USA and Vice President of Schenck Process Group’s global IBS Power business, said, “Stock has been active in the Indian power sector for a long time and it is gratifying to see a world-class facility being built in India to locally manufacture its gravimetric feeders.” Inaugurating the facility, Dr. Jochen Weyrauch, President and CEO of the Schenck Process Group, lauded customers from the power industry for their encouragement and support in the construction of the modern facility.
Dr. Weyrauch said the investment represented the group’s long-term commitment to its customers, employees and business associates in the country. The facility will focus on providing high-quality gravimetric coal feed systems, mill reject systems and pneumatic ash handling systems for coal-fired power plants in India. Additionally, it will provide specialised mechanical and pneumatic conveying solutions for the steel, cement and chemical industries. Mr. T. L. N. Murthy, one of the first employees of the company, briefed the audience on the company’s progress since its humble beginnings a decade ago.
The facility inauguration was attended by senior representatives from the power, steel and cement sectors in India, top officials of Schenck Process Group’s worldwide Locations and employees of the group in India.
