Schenck Process Vacuum Conveying technology is used throughout the Food, Pharmaceutical, Chemicals, Minerals and Plastics industries to handle both raw materials and finished products.

The key components in a Schenck Process vacuum system are the pick up and reception points which are based on a modular construction with patented dust proof seals and quick release clamps to simplify cleaning or autoclaving. As a result, complete units can be stripped down in minutes.

The modular construction also means changing process needs can be readily accommodated by simply replacing the relevant standard components from the wide range available.

Vacuum Hopper Loader
The modular hopper loader is the vacuum vessel used to collect the conveyed product and separate the air / product mixture. The hopper has a primary filter mounted in the lid of the vessel, which prevents material being carried over into the vacuum unit.

Benefits include

  • Modular Construction for quick and simple adaption to changing process needs
  • Flexibilty to meet present and future needs
  • Time and cost savings from guaranteed performance
  • Easy cleaning
  • Can be added or adapted to ANY negative pressure system
  • Reduced maintenance downtime
  • Fluidization for cohesive powders
  • 10, 35, 80, 150 litre standard sizes
  • Mild Steel or Stainless Steel construction
  • Soft liner for delicate products
  • Fluidisation for cohesive powders
  • Multiple filter options to suit all materials
  • Batch or continuous conveying
  • Load cell configuration for weighing

Available options

  • 10, 35, 80, 150 liter standard sizes
  • Mild Steel or Stainless Steel construction
  • Soft liner for delicate products
  • Fluidization for cohesive powders
  • Multiple filter options to suit all materials
  • Batch or continuous conveying
  • Load cell configuration for weighing

For the Pharmaceutical Industry:
All stainless steel grade 316L construction with a polished mirror finish inside and out and crack and crevice free contact surfaces. The fluidized cone option ensures that the system retains its self emptying feature, even with cohesive materials and the soft liner option prevents damage to friable products. Autoclaving is simplfied due to the provision of quick release clamps and the entire system is built with GMP standards in mind.

For the Food Industry:
All stainless steel grade 316L construction. Satin polished finish to all internal ‘product contact’ surfaces and glass bead ‘industry standard’ quality finish to all external surfaces. The fluidised cone and soft liner option benefits apply equally here as to the pharmaceutical industry.

For the Plastics, Chemical and General Applications:
All main components are manufactured from mild steel and epoxy coated to RAL6011. A notable feature is the ability to strip the system down quickly to accomodate changing process needs.
