Our split bodied (galactic) butterfly valve meets the needs for a reliable valve able to resist highly corrosive and aggressive fluids. Available in sizes from 50mm to 300mm bore. Can be used for bulk solids, liquids and slurries they are robust in construction and presently available in wafer type only.


  • The split body construction of carbon steel, categorizes coated, allows the use of a moulded seat/liner of virgin PTFE, this makes the valve perfect for chemical applications
  • The one piece investment cast stainless steel disc is coated with PFA and UHMWPE at 3mm thick
  • Bearings are PTFE and self- lubricating
  • All fasteners are stainless steel
  • For assembly between PN10/PN16 flanges

  • Low pressure drop across the valve
  • For easier installation Includes centring holes in wafer body for alignment with flanges
  • Disc and liner only are in contact with the product
  • No gasket required for the installation
  • Available with certification to ATEX 94/9/EC
  • Available with certification to PED 97/23/EC


  • Special elastomer between the valve body and the PTFE liner guarantees constant pressure on the disc
  • The contact between PTFE liner and PFA coated disc creates minimal friction and therefore keeps wear to a minimum viton o-ring shaft seals
  • Pre-loading discs on the shaft ensure seal integrity
