  • Multi PD Pump – an efficient system for fine powders and course fly ash
  • Multi Dense Phase Pump – an efficient system for conveying ash for the power industry

All Dense Phase vessel assemblies supplied complete with Dome Valve, electro-pneumatic controls and air supply piping, strainer, pressure regulation and control equipment pre-piped and pre-wired ready for connection to isolated air and electric supplies.

Dense Phase Pump

The Schenck Process Dense Phase Pump has been advanced to efficiently handle all types of bulk solid materials, from fine cohesive powders to wet lump coal. Equally suited to transfer either from storage into a process or from a process into storage. Systems are capable of operating at temperatures up to 480ºC with throughput rates of up to 25t/hr and distances up to 200 meters. The inherent simplicity of the Dome Valve / Speri Valve, the only moving part in the Schenck Process Dense Phase Pump system ensures the overall system reliability and low maintenance operation.

Typical aplications for Dense Phase Pump include the gypsum industry for the transfer of pre-calcined materials, additives, plaster and the re-cycling of scrap material. In the Iron and Steel industry the pumps can be used for the transfer of sinter fines, dust conveying, lump, granular and pulverized coal and furnace slag.

For the non-ferrous metal industries the Dense Phase Pump can be used for the transfer of reverts, metallurgical dusts, lime, granulated wire, zinc, lump, granular and pulverized coal and dusts and in the aluminium industry the pump can be used for the transfer of fresh alumina, fluorite, fine dusts, chips, packing lump carbon, machined carbon dust and recycled materials.

All Dense Phase vessel assemblies supplied complete with Dome Valve, electro-pneumatic controls and air supply piping, strainer, pressure regulation and control equipment pre-piped and pre-wired ready for connection to isolated air and electric supplies.

PD Dense Phase Pump

The PD Dense Phase Pump is a batch transfer vessel, similar in concept to the Standard Dense Phase Pump, with additional capabilities. Developed for maximum economy, the system utilizes small bore pipelines operating at low conveying pressures, with reduced air flow and power consumption. Highly efficient conveying allows rates of up to 100 t/hr over conveying distances of 500 meters or more, making this system particularly suitable for transfer of dry, fluidizable materials.

CD Dense Phase Pump

The CD Pump is designed to minimize material degradation by using increased pipeline sizes which enable low transfer velocities with the reduction of product damage and pipeline wear and is particularly suitable for conveying fine, cohesive, fluidizable and delicate products.

Typical applications for CD Dense Phase Pump include in the gypsum industry for the transfer of pre-calcined materials, plaster and finished product, in the cement industry for the transfer of fly ash and cement and in the non-ferrous industries for the transfer of dried concentrate.

D Dense Phase Pump

The D Pump is Schenck Process’s unique, self-adaptive Dense Phase Pneumatic Conveying solution.

The D pump was developed to overcome the challenges when conveying problematical materials that have an inconsistent material density due to variations in the source of supply.

The Schenck Process Dome Valve, which forms an integral part of all of Schenck Process’s pneumatic conveying and injection systems partially closes when required – the control system then measures and controls the flow of material to generate a smooth conveying line pressure. This solution is adaptive to the material in the pipeline and works with the control system to cope with any changes in conveying pressure.

The D Pump works in conjunction with a unique Schenck Process pipeline system that is self-regulating and provides a closed feedback loop to the controller of the pump and valves.

TD Dense Phase Pump

The Dense Phase TD Pump is a batch transfer vessel similar in concept to the Standard Dense Phase Pump with improved capability for large tonnages and longer distance conveying with fine fluidizable materials. Throughput rates increased to 250t/h and distances up to 1500 meters. Optimum conveying over 600m.

Systems are capable of operating at temperatures up to 480ºC. The TD Pump has the lowest air consumption in the range.

The inherent simplicity of the Schenck Process Dome Valve® ensures system reliability and low maintenance operation. The TD Pump is designed to minimise material degradation by utilizing the slow transfer velocities of dense phase conveying.

SD Dense Phase Pump

Developed from Schenck Process world leading Dense Phase pneumatic conveying technology, the SD Pump sets new standards for dry sand conveying systems.

This unit can be positioned directly below a silo or feed hopper for automatic filling and transfer to reception points prior to process use.

The SD Pump is delivered as a complete ‘off the shelf’ package and can be installed by semiskilled labor in a matter of hours – there is no need for skilled commissioning technicians.

Five models give transfer rates of up to approximately 35 tons per hour and thereby meet every dry sand transfer application within the modern foundry.

The control panel, which is supplied separately to allow positioning near to the plant operator, Has also been designed with simplicity of operation in mind and gives a continuous positive indication of plant status.

Multi PD Dense Phase Pump

The Multi PD Pump is designed for handling either fine or coarse fly ash from ESPs or from bag filters and can be used to convey directly to the main silos without using an intermediate hopper. There can be up to 8 pumps connected on the same pipeline with an ESP. The most efficient arrangement is for the vessels to be connected across the gas stream of the ESP so that each vessel receives approximately an even loading. No level probe is required in the ESP when using the Multi PD pump system.

The Multi PD pump system is able to convey distances up to 750m and at higher conveying velocities than with multi Dense Phase vessels. The Multi PD system also has lower specific air consumption and utilise smaller pipe sizes to achieve the same conveying rate as a multi Dense Phase system.

The Multi PD pump assemblies are supplied complete with Dome Valve, electro-pneumatic controls and air supply piping, strainer, pressure regulation and control equipment pre-piped and pre-wired ready for connection to isolated air and electric supplies and connection to a suitable vent pipeline.

Multi Dense Phase Pump

The Schenck Process method of fly ash handling is clean, efficient and fully enclosed, with exceptional reliability and requiring minimum maintenance. Pneumatic operation of the system saves costs, increases productivity and improves environmental conditions.

Unique Dense Phase technology from Schenck Process, specific to the needs of the power industry, demonstrates worldwide proficiency in safety and economically handling high volumes of ash generated by electrostatic precipitators or bag filters.
