Schenck Process acquires all assets in Applied Plasma
Physics AS and APP ModuPower AS
Effective 23rd December 2013, Schenck Process has acquired all assets in the Norwegian companies Applied Plasma Physics AS and APP ModuPower AS (APP).
APP is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of air pollution control systems and delivers state of the art technology with its core product the ModuPowerTM High Frequency Switch Mode Power Supply.
“We are very excited that APP has joined the Schenck Process Group, especially since we already had a very close cooperation for years. Integrating the ModuPowerTM technology within our environmental controls solutions helps to support our customers to meet increasingly strict environmental regulations” Dr. Jochen Weyrauch, CEO of Schenck Process Group states.
APP continues its business in Norway under the Schenck Process and Stock brand names and will trade as Schenck Process Norge AS. The company is now being integrated into our global network to benefit from our close customer relationships, extensive technology and industry knowledge and our global sourcing and production.
“The company and its associated technologies deliver great benefits to our customers within the coal and biomass fired power plant industry. We clearly see exciting opportunities emerging in the global power markets for the ModuPowerTM” Robert Ciavarella, Vice President Power of Schenck Process Group and CEO of Stock Equipment Company explains.
APP has been successfully supplying air pollution control systems for over ten years. The technology company with its own R&D division focuses on fossil-fuel and biomass-fired power plants as well as the food and feed industries, for which APP develops and manufactures high-voltage power supplies.
