This is an exciting development in the Group’s online offering and demonstrates an ongoing commitment to innovate the overall customer experience. By providing a platform that streamlines the accessibility of its key component portfolio, Schenck Process has been successful in simplifying valuable customer interactions.
Aimed at trading customers initially within its EMEA locations, the new site will provide these customers with increased visibility on the breadth of the Schenck Process key component offering for a variety of industries, including Cement, Mining, Plastics, Chemicals, and Food. An automated ordering and quotation system will simplify the buying process for customer transactions whilst still ensuring the best functionality, security, and support are available. The products featured on the e-commerce platform commonly have standard specifications, making an automated channel for ordering them a much more efficient service.
Built in Magento 2, the site is on an open-source e-commerce platform, described as the most adaptable in the world currently, with a flexible and scalable architecture. It has allowed a high degree of customization enabling Schenck Process to provide the customer with a fully responsive, secure, and robust user experience.
The new platform has been launched in both English and German initially and will be made available in further languages in the near future. With high-level functionality, the e-commerce site provides the following interactive features designed to provide a seamless digital interaction:
