With MULTIRAIL® BogieLoad, Schenck Process is banking on safety through all around inspection. Electromechanically designed, the bogie test bed (bogie press) inspects the bogie using the so called spindle technology developed by Schenck Process. This novel feature increases repeatability and accuracy whilst reducing the maintenance expenditure.

MULTIRAIL® BogieLoad applications and technical data
The novel test bed technology of Schenck Process is used for the inspection of high speed train bogies. MULTIRAIL® BogieLoad measures and acquires the wheel load distribution with the use of weighbeams. Geometrical data e.g. axis parallelism, are among the additional measuring parameters.
Typical application: bogies of high speed trains ICE 1, ICE 2, ICE 3, ET 420, ET 426.
- Dimensions: l = 5.4 m x w= 6 m x h = 5.82 m
- Load generators in the upper portal: 250 KN max. test load
- Vertical wheel forces acquired with min. +/- 250 N accuracy
- Axis parallelism and spacings acquired with min. +/-0.3 mm accuracy
- Automatic adjustment to varying bogie geometries, e.g. wheelbase and wheel diameter
