Schenck Process is the global market leader of solutions in measuring and process technologies in industrial weighing, feeding, conveying, screening, air filtration and automation.  We develop, manufacture and market a full range of solutions, products and turnkey systems on the basis of combining process engineering expertise, reliable components and field-proven technology.  As a result of continued growth, we are adding an CAD Systems Technician to our IT team.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Engineering Systems Technician will provide technical systems support to the company’s engineering groups across multiple US locations. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide user level diagnostics and support for all engineering software such as:
    • Autodesk (Inventor, AutoCAD, Vault)
    • SolidWorks
    • EPLAN
    • PTC (Creo, Windchill)
    • SAP PLM/ECTR
    • Finite Element Analysis, Computational Flow Dynamics (ANSYS)
  • Perform user level software maintenance tasks including, but not limited to:
    • Engineering systems user account creation, termination or modification
    • Installation of software for individual users
    • Monitor software user lists and provide forecast for budgeting
    • Document system processes and procedures for user access, security and permissions, audit engineering system logs for risks and problems, reports on usage, access, and other relevant engineer systems status. (e.g. user logs, PDM errors, space issues, downtime reports, etc.)
  • Coordinate activities and define requirements associated with data validation and workflows for system migrations, implementations and configuration changes.

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree or completion of technical trade school in CAD, drafting, computer engineering, computer science or related technical field; or any equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • 3-5 years applicable work experience with engineering systems maintenance and user support
  • Experience with some or all of the following:
    • Autodesk (Inventor, AutoCAD, Vault)
    • SolidWorks
    • EPLAN
    • PTC (Creo, Windchill)
    • SAP PLM/ECTR
    • Finite Element Analysis, Computational Flow Dynamics (ANSYS)
  • Excellent communication skills.  Must be able to effectively provide support to remote based and users in other company locations.
  • Ability to travel approximately 15%.
