Test equipment is present in all sectors of industry and manufacturing companies. It is also required in the field of process technology. Therefore, if processes are to be carried out with accuracy, the hopper scales must be calibrated with precision.
To offer the most universally applicable solution for this, Schenck Process has developed a clever control measurement machine which can be used even if, for instance, it is not possible to carry out an accuracy check or adjust the burden hoppers due to structural circumstances or if the process is too difficult.
The mobile control measurement equipment, consisting of a two-section frame with integrated hydraulic cylinder and master load cell, is supplied pre-assembled, fully-equipped and ready to use. It is simple to use as it is assembled suspended between the base of the hopper and the foundation using terminal links.
Once the hydraulic pressure has been applied, the test equipment produces a tractive force between the hopper and foundation. A proportion of which is forwarded to the scales’ load cell as the resultant weight and displayed. In this case the DISOMAT® Tersus evaluation electronics is used.
A comparison of the evaluation electronics shows whether adjustment is correct or, e.g., shunt forces occur on the hopper scales.
The individual usability of this mobile solution is particularly appealing. Depending on size and usage, check wear can be fitted permanently to the hopper or used as a mobile control measurement equipment for several hoppers.
