Dynamic scales determine the weight of an object during a relative movement between the goods being weighed and the load carrier.
More specifically, the weight is determined while the mass or vehicle, for example, passes over the scales. The mass of the goods being weighed is thereby determined before the definitive stationary value is achieved using special algorithms and filters.
Dynamic scales should not be confused with continuous scales, which measure mass flows.
Dynamic scales are highly efficient and time-saving because they can be used during operation. For example, goods can be economically weighed during transport and/or handling without the need for an operator. Examples of dynamic scales include train scales, crane scales, axle scales for trucks and roller table scales.
