We are now looking for a Tactical/Operational Buyer to be based at our Process Components offices in Poynton.
The ideal candidate will have experience of purchasing within a components related business in engineering or fabrication. Experience of sales and operations planning would be a benefit, as would the use of Navision, They should be a self-starter with initiative to undertake activities beyond the job description, whilst being a team player with the ability to be flexible for the team goal.
The role will be responsible for the execution of a Sourcing Work Plan, whilst constantly looking for opportunities to generate cost efficiencies within purchasing. The candidate will work with key stakeholders to develop and implement category strategies across a three year horizon. They will manage and conduct the full range of sourcing processes from identification of requirements through
to contract negotiation, execution and post contract award management.
