Human Resource Adviser (Hunter Valley, North Ryde)

About the role:

Reporting to the Head of Human Resources the role will provide professional HR advice, IR/ER support, coaching and expertise to the management and staff of Schenck Process. Specifically, you will:


  • Review and implement HR processes, policies, procedures.
  • Identify, design and deliver relevant in house HR training.
  • Support managers to identify training needs for employees and provide guidance in capturing development goals in Workday.
  • Provide advice, support, and guidance to ensure all grievances, disciplinary processes, disputes and workplace investigations are dealt with promptly, impartially and confidentially in accordance with policy and best practice standards.
  • Ensure compliance of relevant Awards and Enterprise Agreements, including actively supporting the enterprise agreement bargaining process.
  • Undertake recruitment and selection assignments within agreed time frames as per company policy, procedures, and processes.
  • Be the subject matter expert and portfolio lead for assigned portfolios and ensure relevant information are kept up to date and available through Sharepoint.
  • Proactively support HR projects, strategic initiatives, and calendar activities

As an ideal applicant, you must possess the following:


  • Bachelors Degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations or Employment Law.
  • Outstanding communication skills with the ability to engage, partner, build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated high level of knowledge and understanding of human resource concepts and practices and how these are applied in the workplace.
  • Takes pride in all written and verbal communications; previous experience in preparing and delivering training packages and presentations through a variety of mediums.
