Design Engineer (Sunshine, VIC)

About the role:

You will be accountable for all aspects of engineering of various product and tool design projects as assigned by the Engineering Manager. This means providing engineering support to a broad internal and external stakeholder group on technical, design, and project related matters through:

 

  • Production of drawings from supplied information such as engineering requests, client specifications, design calculation sheets and supplier data sheets.

  • Identification of potential problems/issues and finding solutions with Engineering Manager to achieve continuous improvement.

  • Delivery of all drawings to satisfy quality, accuracy and timing requirements and standards

  • Support R&D Projects by involving in design calculations, detailed drawings and manufacturing support

 

To be successful in the above duties, You will have:

 

  • Tertiary Qualification in Engineering (Mechanical) or equivalent

  • 3-5 years of Professional Experience with 2-3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably injection moulding

  • Demonstrated ability in design and drawings using Inventor 3D or similar

  • Experience in continuous improvement in an engineering environment desirable

  • Experience with Engineering processes

  • Knowledge in ERP system, SAP would be advantageous
