Schenck Process rounds off its ProFlex® C system with a machine for medium feed rates.

Schenck Process has added a new product to the ProFlex® C range. With the ProFlex® C 3000, the Darmstadt-based weighing and feeding specialist closes the gap between ProFlex® C 500 and ProFlex® C 6000. It is Schenck Process’ response to numerous customer requests for a medium-sized machine. The machine will be presented for the first time at Powtech 2011, which will run from 10 to 13 October in Nuremberg, at the Schenck Process stand, no. 539, in Hall 7.

The ProFlex® C feeding system is used for continuous feeding of bulk materials, such as powder or granulates. It is specially designed to satisfy the requirements of the compound and master batch industries.

With ProFlex® C 500, 3000 and 6000, Schenck Process now offers three feeder sizes with a total of five container sizes. The series are characterised by their flexible and space-saving geometries. The asymmetric design allows the feeders to be arranged in pairs with discharge pipes fitted close to one another. The containers are easy to clean and just two easily accessible sides are needed for service work.

The direction of the discharge side can be easily changed at any time. The series enable up to eight feeder stations to be integrated in new as well as existing production plants. The system can also be swiftly disassembled for rapid product changes or cleaning. Various feed hoppers, gear reductions, augers and spirals are available for adaptation to the special properties of bulk materials.

The ProFlex® C 3000 is available as both a loss-in-weight feeder and a volumetric feeder, just like ProFlex® C 500 and 6000.
