Edge Finish

The most efficient heavy screens are fitted with hooked edges to provide for tensioning. Unless otherwise specified, hooked edges for heavy and medium type screen cloths are approximately 32mm long (from the inside of the bend to the end of the hook) and at a 45-60º degree angle from the face of the screen cloth.

Lighter screen cloths often use either fold back or fold forward hooks, and are approximately 19mm high with a 13mm fold.

Side Edge Hooks

Effective in fine sizing application to control material flow rates and create a tumbling affect to intensify the dewatering and washing effect and break up lumping.

End Tensioned Hooks

(D-F Type): Suitable for most mobile screens.
(G, H, J Type): Suitable for Brick Plants and other industrial applications.
