Compact mounts are a key component when it comes to completing the weighing equipment. They are used, for instance, as bearing units with an integrated bumper and lifting lock in industrial scales such as hopper scales, silo scales, tank scales and mixer scales. Their task is to introduce the best possible force from a measuring technology perspective into ring-torsion load cells.

Construction and design: Compact mounts consist of the fixture for introducing loads, the bumper and the lifting lock. The compact mounts are positioned by being pushed into the support structure. The bumper and lifting lock clearance can be adjusted by screws.

Function: The weight to be determined is introduced into the load cell via the pressure piece and transferred to the elastomer. Due to its design, the vertical spring compression is very low and proportional to load. Thus lateral forces distort the elastomer in parallel. It centres automatically as soon as there is no more lateral force. As a result the bumpers restrict the motion clearance. The lifting lock prevents lifting. The system is extremely reliable – an additional guide is not necessary.
