For more than six decades, Schenck Process weigh feeders have been a paradigm of quality associated with the words: reliability, precision and operational safety.
This long-standing and highly-successful product is entering a new phase with the development of the MULTIDOS® High Pressure Gravimetric (HPG) weigh feeder. Proven technologies have been consistently developed and new quality, functional, software and stability features added. The resultant Schenck Process MULTIDOS® HPG weigh feeders are more efficient, flexible and robust than ever before.
New design elements deliver greater efficiency
Tension roll and active belt steering system maintain belt alignment. The belt is also centred in the event of an uneven distribution of load. There is no need for a V-guide and the belt service life has been extended significantly.
Reversible inlet promotes flow even in reverse direction for enhanced flow properties even in emergencies. A simple conversion step and material flow is reversed 180° with the material being removed through the emergency discharge outlet.
Round outlet hopper. The hopper was previously rectangular and is now round, delivering optimised coal flow and a longer service life for a maximum pressure of 3.5 bar.
Emergency discharge chute on bottom of housing. The outlet features a sliding panel which is easy to remove. Coal can be discharged from the feeder into the convenient outlet below, reducing the amount of work and cleaning required.
New end doors. These doors are lighter and have the necessary compression strength of 3.5 bar.
Sloped / rounded internal surfaces. Coal build-up is avoided and all grades of coal can be processed.
New cleaning scrapers made from high-strength composite materials. These scrapers are much more sturdy and resistant to corrosion than their predecessors.
An internal belt scraper has been incorporated to increase the life of the drive components.
Other benefits: Various inlet widths are possible: 610 mm, 914 mm or 1000 mm. And the drives can be fitted on the left or right in the field.
Technology and software: DISOCONT® Tersus feeder electronics with enhanced software technology and extended functions for optimum control of gravimetric feeders. All functions can be accessed through a graphical touch screen interface.
