Trainees and students at Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University are to be more closely integrated in Schenck Process in Darmstadt, as the weighing and feeding specialist takes on sole responsibility for the provision of training on relevant degree programs. Previously, part of the coordination and training for trainees at Schenck Process, Schenck Rotec, Horiba Europe and other companies based at the same technology park was handled by Schenck Technologie- und Industriepark (TIP).
The reorganisation will make it possible to tailor training courses to the specific needs of Schenck Process. The training will also have a stronger focus on real-life applications and trainees and students will be more closely integrated in the company.
The reorganisation will be implemented in stages, starting on 1 October 2010 with the transfer of students from the CooperativeStateUniversity. Other trainees will be transferred at the beginning of 2011.
Schenck Process currently employs 40 trainees. All existing traineeships will continue under the new setup, signalling that training is set to continue playing a key role at Schenck Process.
